Obituary of Lois Taylor
Lois V. (Godfrey) Taylor, 92, of formerly of Danbury, wife of the late Harold T. Taylor, died peacefully in South Carolina on July 10, 2021. She was born in Brewster, NY on October 6, 1928, daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys (Smalley) Godfrey.
In her younger years, she and her husband, Harold, enjoyed being a part of Amway. Lois was a devoted homemaker who lovingly cared for her family. There was a time when Harold tried to teach her to drive a car, but Lois was much happier to be a passenger!
Lois cherished her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and always asked to see photos when she couldn’t be with them. She also enjoyed watching game shows, especially Catch 21 and Family Feud. Her favorite treats were frozen devil dogs and ice cream.
She will be sadly missed by her five children, Harold Taylor, Raymond Taylor and his wife, Susan, Margaret Humiston and her husband, Ricky, James Taylor and his wife, Lucette, and Donna Alexsanderwitz and her husband, Michael; her 18 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is survived by her brother George Godfrey. She was predeceased by her two daughters, Shirley McKeen and Debra Wixon.
Funeral services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday, July 16th at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday morning between 10:00 – 11:00am.
