Obituary of George A. Belanger
George A. Belanger, 87, formally of New Milford, CT, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021 at home in Winchester, CA. He was the beloved husband of the late Elaine (Mazza) Belanger.
George was born in Southbury, CT to the late Adrian and Bertie (Stoddard) Belanger. He was a resident of New Milford for over 30 years and moved to Winchester, CA to be with his children and grandchildren.
George was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1952-1956 and retired from Branson Sonic Power in Danbury. George enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting and gardening. He also enjoyed woodworking and made many gifts for his children.
George will be sadly missed by his daughters: Rene Bush and her husband, Russell, and Lynn Tracey and her husband, Andrew; grandchildren: Lisa Terrell and her husband, Scott, Dawn Bush, and Andrew Tracey Jr., and great-grandchildren: Ashley, Chelsea, Lindsey, Christopher, and Ryder all of California.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 5pm – 7pm at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury. A Service will be held at 5:30pm where those wishing to do so, may share a memory. Burial will be at the convenience of George’s family in Lakeside Cemetery, Morris.
