Obituary of William Donald Haitsch
William “Bill” D. Haitsch, 83, died at Danbury Hospital surrounded by his family on Monday, July 26, 2021. He was born in Danbury on September 20,1937 son of the late Alfred and Izora (Finger) Haitsch and married to the love of his life Elfriede Haitsch for 59 years. Bill worked as a carpenter for Union Chapter 210 for 50 years and was a long time, active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danbury.
Bill will be sadly missed by his three sons, Steven Haitsch and his wife, Debbie, David Haitsch, and his wife, Deana Pudelko-Haitsch, and Paul Haitsch: his grandchildren, David, Andrew, Jenna, Hannah, Megan, and Ethan Haitsch. He is also survived by his sister, Sharon Benson and a several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Danbury, on 7/31/21 at 4:00pm. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on 7/30/21 between the hours of 5:00pm-7:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Immanuel Lutheran School or Immanuel Lutheran Comfort Dog ministry.
