I taught with Pete at the Intermediate school in Somers. My Mother, Thelma Penny, did as well. We both loved Pete's gentle and kind ways. Such a gentleman in all respects. He had a special way with his students. I remember how much it meant to me when he attended my Mother's wake even though he had retired years before.
My deepest sympathy to Sally, children and grandchildren.
