I was sorry to read the obit in this morning's paper. On behalf of our family, Barbara, Lynn & Carol, I want to offer our sincere condolences to all of you. Joe was instrumental in helping me (when I was the AD at DHS) install the first permanent lights for our football field at Danbury High. Rizzo Electric was doing the installation. I had met Joe before that and knowing his connection with CL&P, I asked if they were doing any construction. He told me that they had a project at that time, replacing the older 60-80 foot wood poles with steel towers to hold the high tension power lines. I asked if any were available and he was able to get all the poles we required donated to us, saving us hundreds of dollars. Rizzo Electric picked them up and delivered them on the field. Over the years our paths crossed when we attended various community celebrations and dinners. We lost one of the best! Norm Winnerman
