Obituary of Virginia Maraglino

Bethel – Mrs. Virginia (Jordan) Maraglino, age 92, of Bethel, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 13, 2021 at the Regional Hospice in Danbury. She was the widow of Nicholas Joseph Maraglino.

Mrs. Maraglino was born November 25,1928 in Bridgeport daughter of the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Paul) Jordan. She was retired as the owner of Commercial Tire and Recapping in Norwalk which she had owned with her husband for many years.

Mrs. Maraglino is survived by her son Nicholas Maraglino of Danbury, her daughter in law: Susan Ward of Danbury, her grandchildren: Daniel Maraglino and his wife Carrie, Mark Maraglino and his wife Lydia, Michelle Maraglino, Jonathan Maraglino and his wife Laura, Dominic Maraglino, and Christopher Maraglino and his wife Nasha, her step grandchildren: Ashley Abercrombie and her husband Richard, Megan Ward, Emily Smith and her husband Orlando and Sam Ward, her great grandchildren: Gabby, Ellie, Nashlee, Samantha, Orlando, Harlyn and Noah and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Dominic “Peachy” Maraglino and her brother: Daniel Jordan.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 30, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church in Danbury. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Stratford at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Cornell Memorial Home 247 White St. Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
