Obituary of David H. Beneway
Brookfield – Mr. David H. Beneway, age 81, of Brookfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 17, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy Ann (Gray) Beneway.
David Beneway was born November 14, 1940 in New Rochelle, NY son of the late Charles and Lillian (Watt) Beneway. He retired after working for many years as a plumber and was a lifelong member of UA Local 21 Plumbers & Steamfitters. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army after graduating high school.
David had a passion for boating and fishing, spending many happy years with his wife, family, and friends traveling the waters of the Long Island Sound on their boat, Dotti-Bee III. He treasured the time spent laughing on the dock in the company of his friends and loved taking weekend trips to Montauk and going deep sea fishing. Dave will always be remembered for his sense of humor and laugh, along with his big warm smile, his strong work ethic and the ability to make or fix pretty much anything! He will be dearly missed.
