Obituary of Steven Anthony Scotti
Steven A. Scotti, 52, formerly of Danbury, died at his home in Saugerties, NY, on January 14, 2022. He was born in Oak Lawn, IL, on August 14, 1969, son of the late Carmin and Charlene (Scarlata) Scotti. He was a graduate of St. Gregory the Great School, and Immaculate High School.
After attending WestConn, Steve relocated to New York state to be near his parents and brother Ed. He worked as a Sales manager at Swim King Pools in Kingston, NY for over 20 years, a business owned by his dear friends the Galderisi family.
Most important to Steve was spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed cooking, golfing, skiing, fishing, and traveling. Guy, Ed, and Steve shared many fun times during their various Caribbean Island adventures. Steve also loved snowmobiling and boating on Candlewood Lake with his brothers. He was an animal lover and his cats were especially dear to him.
As an avid sports fan, you could always find Steve cheering on his nephews at their hockey games or watching his favorite teams - the NY Yankees and the NY Rangers.
Steve also loved to laugh and attended many live comedy shows.
He will be sadly missed by his four siblings, Lisa Dabkowski (Joe), Cindy Gracon Connelly (Roger), Guy and Ed Scotti; his two nephews, Joseph Dabkowski, Tyler Gracon, and his niece Cara Hardt (Jason); and his companion, Maureen Doyle.
A funeral service will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St, Danbury, on Sunday, January 30th at 2:30pm.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday between 1:00pm and 3:00pm.
