Obituary of Letitia Roberta Murphy
Letitia R. Murphy, a longtime resident of Danbury, CT, died on January 25, 2022, at the age of 77.
Letitia was born on January 19, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY, and was the daughter of the late Margaret Alice and Robert Hoag. She graduated from Queens Hospital Center School of Nursing and was a registered nurse for 50 years until she retired, in true numeric fashion, on 11/12/13.
In addition to her parents, Alice and Robert, Letitia is preceded in death by her brother Kevin. She is survived by her younger brother Gerard (Marianne), her son Paul (Cathy), daughters Meghan (Steve) and Taryn (Todd). She will be greatly missed by her seven grandchildren: Paul (Katherine), Kevin, Sean, Ryan, Brandon, Toni, and Kayla, along with many other family members and friends.
There are no calling hours at this time. The family will have a private burial. Memorial donations In lieu of flowers may be made to United Service Organizations (USO) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 10:30am on Saturday April 9, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Ridgefield. Private burial to follow.
