Obituary of Johanna Marie Cipriani
Johanna Marie Cipriani of Danbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the Lutheran Home in Southbury. Johanna is now reunited with all of her loved family members that preceded her.
Johanna was born May 20, 1932 in Manhattan, New York to the late Lawrence and Hanna McMillan. She attended secretarial school but left the workforce to be a devoted and loving mother who raised 5 children. She then re-entered the work force at Sears where she enjoyed herself over the next 25 years. Johanna was very devout in her Catholic faith, active in the New Fairfield Senior Center, and a proud member of the Red Hat Society.
Johanna will be sadly missed by her children: Brenda Fegley and her husband Dan of Brookfield, Claudia Cipriani and her wife Donna Dimuzio of Southbury, Larry Cipriani and his wife Lisa of New Fairfield, and James Cipriani and his wife Nicki of Tennessee; grandchildren: Nicole Cipriani, Anthony Cipriani, Chloe Cipriani, Joseph Cipriani, and Manny Cipriani; great-grandchildren: TJ, Chase, Gianni, and Vinny. Johanna is also survived by her sister Eileen Kuck of New York. In addition to her husband Alfred, she was predeceased by her son, Brian.
Visitation will be held at Cornell Memorial Home on Thursday February 3, 2022 from 8:30am-9:30am with a procession to St Joseph Church in Danbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Burial will be in St Peter Cemetery, Danbury. All are requested to wear a mask during services.
Johanna’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Lutheran Home for their above and beyond care given to their mother during her stay. Amy, you are a rockstar!!
