Obituary of Olga Maria Corso
Danbury – Mrs. Olga M. Corso, age 88, of Danbury, CT, died Monday February 28, 2022. She was the widow of John Corso.
Mrs. Corso was born May 26,1933 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Anthony and Theresa (Ieraci)Beltrone. She worked for many years as anAdministrative Professional in the Danbury area, and most recently as a Receptionist at Savings Bank of Danbury. Olga attended Western CT State University.
Mrs. Corso had a wonderfully artistic flair and loved to paint watercolors, sketch and create sculpture. She loved opera, films and live music, and was proud of her Brooklyn upbringing and Italian heritage, which came through when talking about the NY Yankees, Pavarotti and Pasta! She volunteered at Danbury Hospital, and for Reading Partners, a mentoring program for Danbury area elementary school children. Olga loved spending time with her family and her dear friends, but her pride and joy were her granddaughters, Hannahand Olivia.
Mrs. Corso is survived by her sons, Charles A. Gaal and his wife Amy of Bridgewater, Steven A. Gaal and his wife Diane of West Chester, Ohio, and granddaughters, Hannah and Olivia. She also leaves behind her sister, Inez Cuadrado of NC and her nephew, John Cuadrado. She was predeceased by her husband, John Corso, her daughter, Stephanie Gaal of California, her brother Hugo Beltrone, and her niece, Anita Cuadrado.
The service will take place at Cornell Memorial Home; 247 White Street, Danbury, CT 06810, on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, from 10:00 am-11:00 am. Burial will follow at Wooster Cemetery in Danbury.All attendees are asked to wear masks.
