Obituary of Robert Miller
Robert “Bob” L Miller, age 85, of Danbury, died peacefully at Regional Hospice on Thursday, April 21,2022. He was born in Chicago, IL on November 29, 1936, to late Robert and Cecelia (Rossman) Miller and was the beloved partner of the late William Low for 53 years.
Bob relocated to Connecticut in the early 1970’s and was a resident of Candlewood Isle for over 45 years where he enjoyed life on the lake and made many close friends. He served on the Board of Directors for the Isle and was instrumental in many important improvements for the community. He was also very proud of his charitable work with amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.
Bob spent most of his professional career at Ethan Allan, where he was employed at their corporate office for more than 30 years and retired in the role of Corporate Credit Manager. He made many lasting friendships there, including Jeff and Hillary Baker who eventually became like family to him.
Bob was a loving brother and uncle to many. He was preceded in death by his sisters Carolyn and Alice and is survived by his sister Kathy (Michael); nephew Don (Victoria); nieces, Linda (Barry), Paula (Jay), Kristina; great nephews Justin, Kevin, Christian; and godson Andrew.
Family and friends my visit Wednesday, May 11th at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury between 10:00am - 11:00am. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am. Entombment will be at Wooster Cemetery Mausoleum.
