I was heartbroken to learn of Connie's recent passing. I met Connie a few years ago through our daughters' cheer team, and was immediately struck by her generosity and warmth. She often prepared treats and gifts for birthdays and other occasions, not expecting any thanks at all except for the girls' smiles. She went out of her way to help newcomers, like me, understand the complex and demanding world of competitive cheer. It is rare to meet someone like this. Her caring and kindness made an impact on me right away. We spent time together at cheer events, and shared thoughts on raising kids and our own personal aspirations. We had spoken most recently about her daughter's plans to study abroad, and both of our recent health challenges. She was her usual sunny self, and I assumed she was out of the woods. I wish to send my heartfelt condolences to her husband, Robert, and daughter, Reena, about whom she always spoke with so much pride and joy. With love, Sara Kandler

I was deeply saddened to read of the passing of my dear friend, Connie. My sister and I grew up with both sister's, attending elementary school through DHS. While people's lives move forward, I'd see Connie around town, most recently at Shop Rite in Danbury. We always reminisced about hanging out at her parent's hair salon at North St. Shopping Center as little girls, and catching up on childhood friends.
I've moved away, but always popped in to say hi and get in a few cherished memories with her before leaving. I wasn't aware she had been ill, but know she'll be deeply missed by all.
As I live in Texas, I'll be unable to attend her service. While I extend my condolences to you all, please send a special hug to Michelle for me.
