Obituary of Lloyd George Best
Danbury – Mr. Lloyd G. Best, age 82, of Danbury, passed away peacefully on Monday May 16,2022. He was the husband of Patricia (Smith) Best.
Mr. Best was born May 27,1939 in Augusta, Maine son of the late George and Amy (Powell) Best. He worked for many years at Viking Wire, for 10 years in sales at Comcast, and retired from Novicky’s Fireside in sales. He enjoyed fishing, trips to the Amish Country and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a wonderful family man and will be missed.
Mr. Best proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy.
In addition to his wife Patricia, Mr. Best is survived by his children: Karen Beaudry and her husband Raymond of Danbury and Gary Best and his wife Lisa of New Milford, his siblings: Ronald Best and his wife Tiney of Fl, Dennis Best and his wife Judy of Fl, Sharon Pannozza and her husband Paul of New Milford and Richard Best of Fl, his grandchildren: Ryan Beaudry and his wife Katie, Michael Best and his wife Amanda and Kellie Best, His step grandchildren: Christie and Stacey, his great grandchildren: Aubree Beaudry, Nolan Beaudry and Patrick Best, his step great grandchildren: Josh, Julia, Madelyn and Hannah and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Best’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Cornell Memorial Home 247 White St. Danbury on Thursday May 19,2022 from 4 to 6 p.m. A Memorial Service with Rev. Carolyn Legg officiating and the presentation of full Naval honors will be held at the funeral home at 6 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
