Obituary of Scott Allen Vallancourt
Scott A. Vallancourt, 53, of Danbury, devoted husband of Timothy J. Rees, died on Tuesday, September 6th at Danbury Hospital. He was born in Waterbury on March 5, 1969, son of John J. Vallancourt and Helena (Platt) Vallancourt.
Being a massage therapist was Scott’s joy, and for the last 15 years he proudly maintained practices in Bethel and West Hartford.
Scott loved making Art – from fused glass work to tending his glorious garden to cooking, he was a creative person. He was well informed and curious, constantly exploring new views on current events and reading and watching SciFi stories. He and Tim loved visiting Provincetown, going to shows locally or on Broadway, doing jigsaw puzzles, caring for their pets, and simply being together. They were much content in each other’s company.
In addition to his beloved Tim, Scott will be missed by his father, John J. Vallancourt and his wife Joyce; his dear friend who was more like a sister, Donna Katsuranis and her husband Terry; his brother-in-law, John Rees and his wife Ellie; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Rees; nephew Christopher Rees and his wife April; niece Shannon Riley and her husband Sean; and his 8 great nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday October 16 at 12:00 at the Lakeside Community Room, 460 Candlewood Lake Rd Brookfield. If you will join us for a potluck luncheon, please reach out to Donna.
