Obituary of Angela Ali
Angela Latchmie Ali, 69, wife of Mustapha Ali, died on Tuesday March 28, 2023. She was born in Trinidad on June 17, 1953 daughter of Monaise Strong.
Angela met her loving husband of nearly 52 years when she began working in retail in Trinidad, they were inseparable ever since. Along with their two sons, they migrated together to the US in the mid 80’s. Though she started out in retail, her passion was children, so when she moved to the US she became a Nanny and provided loving childcare to numerous families throughout her life here. Just as she taught her own two boys and her grandchildren, the values she instilled in the children in her care were highly regarded by all who knew her. She loved spending time with her family, gardening, and reading, but most of all, she loved to cook. She took great joy in cooking for her loved ones, developing new dishes, and adding her wonderful Caribbean flare to her food. Her homemade hot sauce was famous! Her entire family, near & far, always looked forward to her fresh baked bread and ham at Christmas. She took great pride in her cooking and enjoyed watching her family celebrate around her delicious food. Angela was also an avid donating member of numerous charities, including St Judes and the ASPCA. She was a faithful Catholic, and always taught her children and family about the power of prayer.
In addition to her husband Mustapha, Angela is survived by her children, Rodney Ali and his wife Gicel and Rossi Ali and his wife Marie; Her grandchildren Tristan, Landon, and Xander and Rossi Jr.
Angela’s funeral service will be held at Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal road, Brookfield, on Monday, April 3, at 10:30 AM. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 2, from 1 to 3 PM at Brookfield Funeral Home.
