Obituary of John James Hill
Danbury – Mr. John J. Hill, age 85, of Danbury passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday May 16, 2023. He was the loving husband of Kathi (Mitchell) Hill.
Mr. Hill was born April 17,1938 in Danbury son of the late Joseph L. and Myrtle V. (Montgomery) Hill. He was retired after working for many years as a machinist at Anania Machine Company and was a communicant of St. Gregory the Great Church in Danbury.
In addition to his wife Kathi, Mr. Hill is survived by his sons: Kevin J. Hill and his wife Suzette of Maine and Sean Hill of New Orleans, his 5 grandchildren: Christopher, David, Kathleen, Michael and Sarah, his brothers: Joseph Hill and Terry Hill, his sister: Janice McNamara and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings: Louis, Donald, Charles, Philip, Robert, Harold and George Hill and Arlene Dixon, Carol Ann Schirmer, Julia Holick, Myrtle Ramsdorf, Jacqueline Miller and Jeanne Bonner
Mr. Hill’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Cornell Memorial Home 247 White St. Danbury on Sunday May 21,2023 from 2 to 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday May 22,2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church in Danbury. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bethel.
