Obituary of Mary Asunda Fava
Southbury – Mary Asunda “Sue” Fava, age 98, of Southbury, formerly of Danbury, passed away peacefully on Tuesday Jun 7,2023 at Danbury Hospital.
Sue was born August 14,1924 in Danbury daughter of the late Nazzareno and Anna (Patella) Fava. She was 1942 graduate of Danbury High School, retired in 1975 after working as a secretary for the State of Connecticut Fairfield County Co-Op Extension Service and in 1990 as a secretary at Risdon Manufacturing in Danbury. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Danbury.
Sue is survived by her nephew: Louis Fava and his wife Paula of New Milford, her 3 nieces: Ann Marie McLoughlin and her husband David of Florida, Susan Taylor and her husband Raymond of Columbus, Ohio and Cheryl Lee and her husband Ted of Columbus, Ohio, 7 great nieces and nephews and 6 great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers: Samuel J. and Louis Fava, her sister in law: Rosemarie Fava and Louis’ first wife Sylvia Fava
Sue’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday June 13,2023 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Cornell Memorial Home 247 White Street Danbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday June 13,2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Danbury. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Danbury.
