Obituary of William Salvatore LoRusso
William S. LoRusso, 75, of Danbury, beloved husband of Coreen Casamassina, died at Danbury Hospital on Saturday, June 10, 2023. He was born in the Bronx on March 3, 1948, son of the late Antonio and Sylvia (Romano) LoRusso. He owned and operated Mohawk Tire and Auto Service on Mill Plain Road in Danbury.
Bill took pride in his vegetable garden each year, loved spending time with family and friends and loved a good cigar. In his younger years he played drums with local bands.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and dad to his fur babies, especially Monna, his black lab. He was looking forward to celebrating his 30th Wedding Anniversary with Coreen on June 19th.
In addition to Coreen, he will be sadly missed by his daughters, Gina Hess, and Debbie Gombas and her husband, Steven; and his four grandchildren, Debbie, Cassie, Tori and Maddie.
He was predeceased by his son-in-law, William Hess.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 17th at 10:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus in Danbury. Burial in Wooster Cemetery will follow.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday between the hours of 4:00 – 7:00pm.
