Obituary of Carmen Molina Frisch
Carmen Molina Frisch, age 82, of Danbury, died peacefully at Regional Hospice on Thursday August 10,2023 after a brief illness.
Carmen was born in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, on November 11, 1940, daughter of the late Juan and Ramona Molina. She was retired from Eaton Corporation after working in quality control for many years and previously worked at Columbia Records and Viking Wire. Carmen loved to tell people her birthday and say she had 82 years! A proud Puerto Rican, a self- made woman. Carmen was a mother, abuela, sister and titi to many but most importantly friend. She wore many hats, literally, she wore many hats… she loved her son like NO Other. Steven was her everything. Her 6 grandchildren were her world and she loved playing dominoes and watching them grow. Her yard was filled with beautiful flowers and she loved being under her favorite tree, in her hammock or mowing her lawn…A friend to anyone she met, always a smile on her face. A kind heart, a silly joke or a “bendito” for anyone having a bad day. Carmen’s hard work and determination pushed her to become a black belt in karate as well as an instructor. She loved to travel to her beloved PR, Hungary, Alaska, Bermuda, Egypt and Morocco. She also proudly drove alone without a GPS to watch her son graduate from Marine boot camp in Paris Island SC in 1986. Who would’ve thought our little mama was a world traveler! Carmen loved to dance and certainly had the gift of gab. One of her last good days we took her to a garden nursery. She was surrounded by millions of flowers… she took time to admire each one of them. As we got to the car she stood before a large puddle. We tried to take her hand to guide her. Instead with a little chuckle she leapt over it grinning ear to ear…That is how she lived her life, making leaps all on her own doing it her way! Her energy, work ethic, her faith in the Lord and loving way will be passed down and her legacy of kindness will live on. She also truly loved her lifelong family of dogs and cats including Bo and Zoey who will miss her dearly.
Carmen is survived by her loving son Steven and his wife Melissa Bourdeau Frisch, her 6 grandchildren Sydni Frisch, Sebastian Frisch, Ryli Frisch, Connor Taylor (Gabry), Faye Taylor and Rosie Taylor, her many siblings, nieces and nephews and extended family along the East Coast, the neighborhood ladies who always watched over and took care of her, and many dear neighbors and friends.
