Obituary of Robert G. Thorne, Jr.
Naugatuck – Mr. Robert Gene Thorne, Jr. age 64, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 10,2023. He was the husband of Maxine (Clady) Thorne.
Mr. Thorne was born November 7,1958 in Norwalk son of the late Robert Gene Thorne, Sr. and the late Evelyn (Lowden) Thorne. He was the owner of Bob's Tree Service and loved doing what he did, he loved climbing trees. He loved camping, fishing, taking his kids and grandkids to the fairs/carnivals/amusement parks, going to the beach and boating but most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He would do anything to make his family happy.
In addition to his wife Maxine, Mr. Thorne is survived by his children: Brittany Thorne of Naugatuck, Robert Gene Thorne III of Naugatuck, Johnny Smith of Bayside, NY and Melissa Thorne of CT, his siblings: Brenda Fitzgerald and her husband Jim of Waterbury, Bonnie Jones and her husband David of Danbury, Eva Thorne and her husband Brian Dube of Danbury, Gertrude Dlubac and her husband Joe of Danbury, Cynthia Thorne of Danbury, John Thorne of Danbury and Eugene Thorne of Danbury, his grandchildren: Adrianna, Caeson, Gianna, Aliyanna and Elizabeth and several nieces and nephews who he treated as his own. He was predeceased by his sisters: Deborah Arroyo and Sheila Thorne.
Mr. Thorne's family will receive relatives and friends at the Cornell Memorial Home 247 White St. Danbury on Thursday August 17,2023 from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family
