I worked with Joan as a school nurse in Danbury. She was the type of person that you could go to for common sense answers, be it personal or professional matters. There was a time that there were going to be changes at my school. We were getting a new principal, one who Joan had worked with. Rumors were flying around both positive and negative. I asked Joan about her and all she would say is that I should meet this person and form my own opinion. I did and came to admire and respect this person. To this day I still follow Joan's advice and never pre-judge anyone. Thanks Joan
