Obituary of Rosemary Russell-Conroy
Rosemary (Lerose) Russell-Conroy of Brookfield, CT passed away on September 11, 2023. Born April 2, 1938 and raised in Danbury, CT, Rosemary was the oldest daughter of the late Vincent and Rose Lerose. Rosemary, a beautiful woman, was a licensed cosmetologist for over 30 years who owned and operated Rosemary’s Salon in Brookfield.
Rosemary will be remembered forever for her loving relationship with siblings, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She cherished the fond memories she created through cooking, baking and family get-togethers. Rosemary loved being a wife, mom and Aunt Ro. She loved everybody and everyone loved her. Rosemary enjoyed many years of golfing and fond memories with her late husband, Thomas Russell. An avid exerciser, Rosemary enjoyed dancing and Zumba classes at the YMCA. A devout Catholic, she lived her life as a good and faithful servant of the Lord and a member of St. Joseph’s Church. To know Rosemary was to know the meaning of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness and perseverance.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, Raymond Conroy, who loved and cared for her in her later years; her loving son, Vincent Krebs of Brookfield, eldest son, Robert (Ann) Krebs of Wallkill, NY; her youngest sister, Catherine (Paul) Koren, sister-in-law Terri Lerose; grandchildren Bryan (Melissa) Krebs, Michael (Hannah) Krebs, Kyle Krebs, and Andrew (fiancé Leah) Krebs, great grandchildren, Gareth and Charlotte Krebs; as well as many close nephews, nieces and cousins.
Rosemary is predeceased by husband Thomas Russell, daughter Susan Reese, brother George Lerose, sister and brother-in-law Frances and Richard Ferris, and nephew Richard Ferris III.
A funeral Mass for Rosemary will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 1 Obtuse Hill Road, Brookfield, CT on Saturday, September 30th at 10 a.m.
