Obituary of Ellen Cavallo-Buccitti
PLEASE NOTE: THE LOCATION OF ELLEN'S VISITATION IS AT THE BROOKFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 786 FEDERAL ROAD IN BROOKFIELD.
On the morning of September 21, 2023, the Lord tenderly welcomed Ellen Cavallo-Buccitti into His embrace. A beacon of joy, strength, and kindness, Ellen was born in Norwalk on March 31, 1959, to Elinor (DiProspero) James and the late Edward Cavallo Sr. Her 64 years on this earth were a radiant testament to her boundless love and unwavering care for those fortunate to know her.
While many recognized Ellen for her prowess as a top-tier real estate broker and the proud owner of Independent Realty Group, she wore many hats with grace and enthusiasm. She was celebrated as an exuberant party host, a master gardener who generously shared her harvest, a free spirit with a hint of hippie flair, and a phenomenal cook whose dishes were always presented with her signature phrase, "Here – try this!" Ellen's true essence lay in her steadfast dedication to caring for others.
She leaves a legacy of cherished memories with her devoted husband, David Buccitti. Her memory will be held close by her brothers, Edward Cavallo, Jr., and Robert Cavallo Sr.; her mother-in-law, Ann Buccitti; her sisters-in-law, Catherine Cavallo and Lisa Yost and Lisa’s husband Byron. Ellen's warmth and affection touched the lives of numerous nieces and nephews. She joins her brother, Alan Cavallo, who predeceased her.
Ellen and David remain eternally grateful for the compassionate care provided by her dear niece, Christina Cavallo, her nephew, Michael Cavallo, Dr. Elena Ratner, and the dedicated staff at Smillow Cancer Center.
Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, September 28, from 5–7 p.m. at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 29, at 10 a.m. at St. Marguerite Catholic Church in Brookfield, CT.
In lieu of flowers, please visit Ellen’s Facebook page for more information.
