Obituary of Ellen D. Mohr
Ellen D. Mohr, 86, of Danbury, CT, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2023. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Mohr.
A native New Yorker, Ellen was born to the late John and Anna Creighton on May 9, 1937. She was raised in New York City where she attended Cathedral High School. Thereafter, she married and moved to Danbury, Connecticut with her husband, Edward. She later graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a Business degree. She worked for many years in the Danbury area. Upon retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her siblings, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Ellen had been a longtime Danbury resident for the past 61 years, where she was a parishioner of Saint Gregory’s the Great Catholic Church. Ellen is survived by her sister, Judy and her husband Walter Wolyniec, her brother, John Creighton and Mirelle Bradley, and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, CT 06810 on October 13, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Saint Gregory’s Church, Danbury, CT. Burial will follow Mass at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 71 Lake Ave Ext, Danbury, CT.
