Obituary of Muriel Kolwicz
Danbury – Mrs. Muriel (LaJoie) Kolwicz, age 95, of Danbury passed away on Friday November 17, 2023 at Danbury Hospital. She was the widow of Victor Joseph Kolwicz, who were married for 68 years.
Muriel was born February 24, 1928 in Danbury daughter of the late Sylvio and Grace (Perusse) LaJoie. She was retired after working for many years as a mail clerk at Eaton Corporation and enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, visiting casinos, and spending time with family.
Muriel will be sadly missed by her daughter Lynelle Garvey and her husband James of Southbury, her son Roland Kolwicz and his wife Maureen of MA, her granddaughter Alexandra Mercado and her husband Frank, and her sisters Lucille Kearns and her husband Edward of Newtown, Shirley Mills of Danbury, and loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Janet DeMici and husband Rino , Raymond Mills husband of Shirley, and brother Roland LaJoie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday November 27,2023 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 46 Stone St in Danbury. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Danbury. There are no Calling hours.
