Obituary of Cuong Luong
Cuong Luong, 68, of Danbury, beloved husband of Muoi (Lam) Cuong, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 19, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born in Cambodia on December 25, 1954, son of the late Liang and Jiang (Liu Jing) Xi Xiao.
Cuong made his home in the Danbury area. He worked for RR Donnelly formerly Danbury Printing and Litho for many years as a machine operator. Cuong survive the Cambodian war as a refugee to Vietnam and later was sponsored by his brother and the Red Cross to come to the United States in 1990. Cuong worked extremely hard to provide a better life for his family. Cuong enjoyed gardening and making delicious pastry.
In addition to his cherished wife of 44 years, Muoi, he will be missed by his two children, Kim Luong and Hak Luong and his wife, Melissa; and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Saturday, November 25th at 9:30am. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening between 4:00 – 7:00pm.
