Obituary of Joseph V. Rovetto
Joseph V. Rovetto died peacefully at Village Crest in New Milford on Monday, December 4th. His family finds comfort that he is rejoined with his beloved wife, Antoinette (Pannone) Rovetto and son, Lawrence Rovetto, who predeceased him.
Joseph was born in Manhattan, NY on December 19, 1930, son of the late Lorenzo and Anna (Salanitri) Rovetto. Joseph worked for many years as a heating and oil service technician.
Joseph loved his family, and was very proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He most loved to spend time with all of them, watching them grow and showing them games he played as a child, including making paper airplanes.
He will be sadly missed by his three children, Amelia Malanaphy (Patrick), Anne Vogel, and Frank Roberts (Kim); grandchildren, Marianne Medway (William), Lauren Rouse (Bishop), Patrick Malanaphy (Michelle), Tess Vogel (Kyle Degenhardt), and Cassandra Covaleski (Brendan) and his great-grandchildren, Julius, Joseph, Madelaina, Coralyn, Patrick, William and Michael.
A graveside service will be held in Clove Cemetery, Poughquag, NY, on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 11:30am.
The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Thursday, December 7th between the hours of 4:00 – 7:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.StJude.org).
