This is the most beautiful and accurate tribute I have ever read. I went to school with Jack and graduated from NMHS with him. We were able to keep in touch through the years and I had the honor of meeting his lovely wife, Helen. In 2019 we got to sit together at our 50th high school reunion and reminisce. That sense of humor was always there. I don’t think Jack ever missed a high school dance and we all hung out together at them, cutting up and dancing to the “oldies” as they are called these days. He had a lot of friends. He was loyal and always treated everyone equally. I called Jack “Cuz” because somewhere back there his cousins were related to mine by marriage.
When they moved to Florida my husband Bob and I had hopes of getting together more often but it was shortly after that Jack became ill, succumbing to the awful aftermath of 911. I stayed in touch with brothers, JD and Jim and his wife Helen and will continue to do so. The Delancy’s are fine folks. Helen is a sweet lady. Cuz, you will be missed by so many but I know I will see you again one day in Heaven because you loved God and it showed in everything you did. May God bless your sweet Helen and your entire family and give them peace and comfort during this most difficult time. Rest now, Cuz.
