Oh the stories Joan could tell!
She was a pioneer and a role model of "put your mind and energy to it, and, you can achieve it".
I met Joanie Babaloney (as I called her) when we worked together at Klaff's she was truly the life of the party and an excellent conversationalist. She and I had many wonderful moments of laughter and very few of sadness working together. We always rode together for events and would laugh the whole car ride long. Even the time we got lost coming back from the "worst food served party" at corporate. I think we both wanted to prolong the car ride.
She taught me how to make the very best pie crust from scratch, gave me her ginger cookie recipe that my family enjoys to this day, and how to plate food properly. She was a perfectionist with a great eye for style and design.
I will miss you Joanie Babaloney.
