Obituary of Delia Elizabeth Omasta
Delia E. Omasta, formerly of Brookfield, wife of the late John Omasta, Jr., died peacefully on March 7, 2024 at Newtown Rehab, just shy of her 102nd birthday. She was born in Danbury on April 7, 1922, daughter of the late Henry S. and Margaret (Tilbe) Monroe.
Delia was a Veteran of World War II, proudly serving stateside with the United States Navy. She was a recipient of the American Theater Campaign Ribbon and the World War II Victory Medal.
Upon her return from service Delia worked as an inspector in ball bearing manufacturing.
She will be sadly missed by her three children, John Omasta III (Karen), Paul Omasta (Eileen), and Barbara Jean Denney (David); and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. The Brookfield Funeral Home has been entrusted with Delia’s care.
