I work for a driving school and began interacting with Greg when he tested my students at Danbury DMV. Later, he began occasionally testing at our location, which allowed me to get to know him better. He always treated me with the utmost professionalism and my students with empathy and consideration, often beyond what was required.
From the moment I met him he struck me as an incredibly good human being. Greg was pleasant, positive and always with a smile on his face, even when faced with some of my worst students. He often talked about his family, especially his daughter, with a decency and warmth that I will never forget.
As I have often had to remind myself, don't let the sadness of his passing obscure the greatness of his life. Sincere condolences from my family to yours.

Growing up in Brookfield and working at the only local 24-hour gas station gave me a unique insight into the community, especially its police force. Wally always stood out for his fairness, patience, and kindness. As you can imagine, there wasn't much for teenagers to do in Brookfield, so we often organized summer parties in the woods. These were frequently interrupted by the police, and Wally always handled these situations with grace and understanding. Years ago, I ran into Wally at the DMV, and though our interaction was brief, it reminded me of his lasting impact on me and the importance of compassion in every interaction. I will always remember him as a good person. Rest in peace, Wally.
My sincere condolences to the Waldmiller family.

To the Waldmiller Family, I had the pleasure of knowing Greg after living in Brookfield for many years. His dedication to not only his family, town, and career, was of utmost joy and importance to him. He was always such a presence in Brookfield, and was there whenever the town needed him most. I had the privilege of getting to meet his wonderful brother Paul and sister in law Sandy, as well as his sister Donna while living here in Venice. My deepest sympathy goes out to the whole family, who I know will miss him more than anything. How do we go on living without someone we loved for so long, by keeping their cherished memories close in your hearts, and living each day in his honor. May you rest in peace Greg.

So sorry to hear of this. The Waldmillers are in our hearts and prayers on this sad day. I have no doubt Officer Waldmiller has now been enrolled in God’s Heavenly Force, though, where he will continue to serve good just as he did on Earth, and that he is now at peace. May your family be most blessed during this difficult time. - Justin, Nancy and Michael Lord

Barbara and family, I am so sorry for your loss of such a kind hearted, generous, dedicated man. Wally always had a smile and would always be willing to lend a hand. When I used to live down the road from the police station years ago, Wally and some of the other officers used to stop in to say hello or have some lunch. They used to impress the daycare children I had at the time with letting them see the police lights. He was such a great man. He blessed us all with his kindness and dedication to Brookfield. My prayers and condolences to you Barbara. He also was blessed to have such a loving caring wife.
