Obituary of Kathleen E. Brown
New Milford – Kathleen E. (Riccardi) Brown, age 73, of New Milford, CT passed away peacefully on Sunday March 31, 2024, at Candlewood Valley Health Care Center in New Milford.
Kathleen was born January 9, 1951, in Yonkers, NY daughter of the late John and Gertrude (O’Brien) Riccardi. She spent most of her child and adult life in Florida. After working for many years as a CNA and a Medical Records Assistant at Bert Fish hospital in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, she retired. Her daughter Jenn asked Kathleen to relocate to Connecticut, to help with raising her grandson, Jeff. She loved her grandchildren and was so excited to hear about her great granddaughter taking her name as her middle name. She cared deeply for animals, especially cats. She loved “Sally” and “Baby”. She also loved her soap operas, especially The Young and the Restless. She had a great appreciation for 70’s rock. Her favorite store was Walmart, where she would spend hours strolling the aisles. She was a loving, caring Mom and Granny who unfortunately fought a long hard battle with two horrible diseases.
Kathleen is predeceased by her sister Joan O’Brien and her husband Jack.
Kathleen is survived by her brother John Rich and his wife Eileen of Danbury, CT. Her children: Jennifer Brown-Pasquini and her wife Laura Pasquini of New Milford, CT, and Steven Brown of Perry, Florida, her grandchildren: Jeffrey Brown and his wife Chanyada of VA, Daniel Brown of VA, Emily Brown and Amelia Brown of FL and her great granddaughter Ariel Kathleen Brown of VA.
