Obituary of Kevin J. Gaffney
Kevin J. Gaffney, of Bridgewater, beloved husband of Elizabeth (Berwind) Gaffney, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, April 14, 2024. He was born in Utica, NY on May 30, 1929, son of the late Patrick J. and Mary (Devenney) Gaffney.
Kevin was an executive for IBM, retiring after more than 25 years of global employment. His employment enabled him to travel throughout the world often accompanied by Elizabeth. Kevin also enjoyed golf, world travel, boating, fishing, sailing, the NY Giants, and building/living in their log cabin home on Lake Lillinonah.
In addition to his cherished wife of 49 years, Elizabeth, he will be missed by his 5 children, Kevin and his wife, Patricia, Brian and his wife, Susan, Sheila, Timothy, and Kathleen Gaffney; his seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, Deirmuid Gaffney.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 18th at 1:00pm at Cold Spring Cemetery, 36 Peekskill Rd. Cold Spring, NY.
The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Thursday morning between the hours of 10:30- 11:30am.
