It has been over 6 years since mom's passing.A little boy from our children's school died this week and i signed the guest book on his obituary online and decided to take a look at this page and all the entries everyone made. I feel every bit as sad today as i did on MARCH 11 2007 and have a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye as i write this. I want to thank everyone for sharing thoughts about mom on this page and everyone who didnt sign the book but was moved and saddened by my mom's passing. Barbara...i love that you said you would plant flowers every spring and i hope that you still do ...it means so much to me and i think it would make mom smile too... in fact ..i am certain of it .Since mom had me when she was very young...we were able to relate to each other as i grew older sort of like we were best friends on top of being mother/ son and there was nothing i couldnt tell her or discuss with her . My dad always credited my mom with passing on the "musical ablity " gene, since he claims to have a tin ear. I remember overhearing my mom telling Corrie that i would never be a very good guitarist when i began to play " smoke on the water" on one string and that stuck with me and i took great delight in proving her wrong as i grew as a musician. She was never more happy to be wrong.I remember fondly the day i finally learned to play the guitar solo on "Jessica" by the Allman BROTHERS Band and i showed her and she was so proud. When i played gigs with MY different cover bands ....she NEVER missed a gig and the other guys in the band loved it and all called her "MA".She even made the gig that was only 3 months prior to her passing and was really struggling with the effects of her treatment...she was not well ...but she was there.I wish i could talk to her and tell her so many things and she could see what amazing grandchildren she has ..they still talk about her and miss " granny". I dont know if anyone will revisit this page after 6 years or read this .I DO hope that everyone continues to remember my mom and smile while they do.
Mom ....I really miss you and love you forever.Thank you for raising me and Susan and for also being my best friend as well and for never missing a gig . YOU ARE AN ANGEL...LOVE YOU ALWAYS

I met Ellie when she moved in across with street from us, with her two little kids, Greg and Susan. My sister babysat for them. Ellie and I began a friendship then that never ended. Ellie, with her long blond hair, big blue eyes, and perfect skin. Sitting in her livingroom, playing her guitar. We laughed and cried together many many times. Played "Can We Still Be Friends?" by Tod Rundgren, over and over. She came when my baby was born, picked me up at the airport when I flew in because my brother was ill, was just plain there, always. If a bit of time went by between calls, no matter -- she was always happy and excited to hear my voice. I visited her in England, got chased by her horses, ate wonderful meals, took beautiful walks and talked all night. Her recipe for broccoli-crabmeat casserole is still one of my family's favorites. I miss her presence in my life and on this planet.
Ellie, Ellie, I'll plant flowers for you in the spring and think of you always.

Ellie, along with many of us (you know who you are), grew up together in the early 70's. We became a support system for one another. Ellie became part of my extended family and continued so through the years. We could call each other and talk as though days had separated us, not years. She understood me and never judged me. I could always count on her support, optimism, positive spirit, empathy. How valuable is that? How rare? She murtured me many times through trying times and I was fortunate to have her nurture my children when they were new in the world.
I see her now...open arms, smiling, telling me "it's ok." I will be with her again, in due time, I hope.
My love to Susan and Greg.

It is with a heavy heart that I send my condolence

Such sad news about such a beautiful person....I met Elaine when she was in 7th grade in East Rochester and I was in 9th grade. She and her mother and father were such warm people and always welcomed me into their home. I have many, many fond memories of the family and send my deepest sympathy to all. Peace and love, Robert

Susan & all members of Elaine's family,
I was so sad to hear of Elaine's passing. How we used to laugh with her at Sherbourne. No one could ever be more sincere, friendly and generous in spirit than Elaine. We have missed her so much and will continue to do so. Give the dogs a hug for me, my terrier is their father. I am sure Elaine is watching over them and all of you too. God Bless

Elaine was a very strong character that many people will never forget. Upon joining the Trade Mark Department at Cadbury Schweppes back in 2001, she sure showed me how to do things properly and I highly admired her for her skills and knowledge of the business.
I am very sad to hear of Elaine's passing - but one thing is for sure - Heaven has definitely gained another angel - a very special one at that! God Bless all of Elaine's family and friends at this very sad time.

Elaine's Family and Friends:
My deepest sympathies at your loss. I worked with Elaine at GE in the trademark group. She was infallibly upbeat, always smiling and had a true love for the world of trademarks! Through her long career, she seemed to have met everyone in the trademark world and was well respected and liked by all. She always spoke warmly of her family, and especially her grandchildren. Elaine showed great courage when she learned of her relapse and we were sorry that we did not share more time with her.

To Elaine's family and friends
I knew Elaine from working with her in a professional capacity at several companies. Her voice on the phone always immediately conveyed her friendliness and humour. I visited her office when she lived in England, and was taken at her adaptation to the country, with horses and dogs acquired in interesting ways. I spoke to her after her diagnosis, and greatly admired her stoicism and need to get on with her life, and be with her family. She will be missed by many.

Dear Susan,
I am very sad to hear that Elaine has passed away. We worked together at Cadbury Schweppes for many years and she was not only a beautiful friend but also a great professional. We travelled to different parts of the world together and her interest for other cultures and the Spanish language was always very sincere. She was very brave in her fight against cancer and for that she will always have my admiration.
She will remain in the memory of many at Cadbury Schweppes and you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Warm regards,
Ana

I met Elaine in grade school and always liked her.
During our 20th class reunion in 1980 we spent time together visiting a classmate in town who didn't attend the reunion. She had a quiet way of reaching out to others. I remember her smile.
In later years we exchanged a few emails just keeping in touch. She never talked about her illness -- I found out from other classmates about it.
Elaine is a very special person and she will live on in my memories of her.
