Mario A. Rustici
June 16, 1937 - January 28, 2009
Mario A. Rustici, age 71, of Mendes Road, Danbury, devoted husband of Carol Ann (McGuire) Rustici, passed away peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Thursday, January 28th. He was born in Stamford on June 16, 1937, son of the late Achilles A. and Anna M. (Brusky) Rustici. He worked as a carpenter.
A devout Catholic, Mr. Rustici was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church. He served as a past president and coach for Bethel Pop Warner Football; past president of Bethel Sports Booster Club; and was a coach for Bethel Little League. He also enjoyed working in his flower garden, feeding wild birds and spending time with his family.
In addition to his beloved wife of 45 years, Carol, he will be sadly missed by his two sons, Desmond L. Rustici and his wife, Pam of Brookfield, Ryan X. Rustici and his fiancé, Jodi Davenport of Danbury; his daughter, Melinda A. Rustici of East Haven; his two grandchildren, Alexandria and Tyler Rustici. He is also survived by his brother, Achilles Rustici, Jr. of Florida; his sisters, Anna Trombetto of Newtown, Ellen Nizolek of Queensbury, NY, Loretta Rustici of Stamford, and Dorothy Denning of Milford; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Peter Rustici. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 31st at 10:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel.
The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home on Friday, January 30th between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00pm. Donations Information
