Obituary of John Joseph Seri
John Seri, age 62, of Danbury, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday November 17, 2020 at his home in Danbury, Ct. Son of the late John C. and Teresa (Pliego) Seri, John was born on March 24, 1958 at Danbury Hospital and grew up in Brookfield, Ct.
As a 1976 graduate of Brookfield High School, John was an exceptional athlete and basketball star and the only student to have lettered in 3 varsity sports all 4 years. John began his career as a plumber working in the family business his father built, Seri Plumbing. He then worked as a plumbing contractor with FIC, and most recently, used his skills helping the broader community as a beloved employee of the Danbury Housing Authority.
John could light up a room with his beaming smile and ability to bring laughter and fun to any gathering. If he wasn't at Pippa's visiting with his sister, Susie, and the crew, you could find him at Foodbag sharing a coffee with his friend Skip and trying his luck on scratch off lotto tickets.
John will be sadly missed by his loving sister, Susan Seri of Brookfield and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A small private service will be held for immediate family only due to COVID 19 restrictions.
