I've known Sharon since Shelter Rock elementary school in first grade. When I saw the original news post I wanted to believe it was a mistake or a coincidence of the name but I knew it wouldn't be. I would see her all the time at City Hall over the years and we would chat on FB on occasion. One of the many things I always admired about Sharon was the fact that she would speak her mind if she had something to say yet somehow always be polite about it. Her way with people was incredible and it was no surprise the fact that so often these days people make you earn their respect; yet with Sharon, that is where you started. This world has lost a radiant beam of light, but the heavens have gained a beacon of kindness and compassion. To her family, I offer my most humble and sincere condolences for her immeasurable loss.

I’m extremely saddened to hear about Sharon’s sudden passing. But I have a lot of wonderful memories at Foxwoods with Sharon and our trips to New Hampshire. I know she loves New Hampshire as much as I do because she went back to NH this past winter. I’ve always been happy that we’ve stayed in contact after all these years. I’m happy that I had the opportunity to share pictures of my daughter Haley Grace with Sharon.I’m really going to miss chatting with you about camping and cruising. You went on your first cruise because I suggested it to you. And you loved it as much as we do. I pray you rest easy! I’ll never forget our time together.

It's been 20+ years since high school graduation and while we didn't keep in touch, I am terribly saddened to hear you have left us. Please know your kindness and generosity even as teens made an impact. You were loved by so many and that won't change. Sleep in peace Sharon.
