Our sincerest condolences to your family at your immeasurable loss.
Our daughter Aliya graduated with Thomas, or T-Fo as his friends affectionately called him. She, along with so many of his friends whose lives he touched with his sweetness and genuine kindness, are devastated at his unfathomable loss. Aliya says of him, “There’s not one person who didn’t like him, he was just the sweetest, most genuinely nice guy in our class, someone with whom everyone got along”. She also said that his parents and brothers were the most loving and wonderful people whom he cared about deeply.
While no words are adequate enough to bring comfort at a loss of a child or a brother, no action adequate enough to bring solace, I hope the quotes from my faith attached bring a small measure of hope.

My daughter Ella graduated BHS with Thomas. She was so sad to hear of his passing. This picture was taking during the Senior Water Fight Competition. She had a great time strategizing a plan to win and really enjoyed being part of this with him. Our family is so sorry for the loss of your wonderful young man.

Extending our deepest sympathy to you during this time, our thoughts and prayers are with you. We have such wonderful memories of Thomas. He was smart, funny, polite, and lovely to be around. Thomas would come to play with Justin and I loved that Thomas was big into board games and would get Justin off the computer. They would play for hours. Thomas adored my husbands barbecue chicken wings and I introduced him to soft boiled eggs served in a little cup where you dip toast in to eat… he loved it and always asked for it on mornings after a sleepover. How can we forget the Grinch. My older son Charlie would dress up in a costume with gifts provided by Lindel and sneak up to the back of the house on Christmas Eve where all the boys would be sitting at the table in some activity and the “Grinch” would make noise and jump around to startle them all, leave the gifts and run away. They always invited my son Justin as well and none of them knew until years later who the “Grinch” was. As said by others, Thomas was a shining light who will be greatly missed but always remembered.

TFo was truly a special person. I would see him all the time over the summers during high school at Faaiz's, where they would play hours and hours of Magic and Mariyam and I would sit there laughing and watching as they yelled at each other. We would play Secret Hitler together and I will never forget how Tommy knew every rule and would make sure we were all playing by them. Everyone was so excited to see him and he would give each of us such big hugs when we saw each other. He was a light. He was not just loved widely, but he was loved deeply and wholeheartedly. By all of us. I would always get deep into conversations with him, whether it was just us catching up, or him telling me about the cool brownies with sprinkles that he had as a kid, or us talking about all our shared favorite music. I am so grateful for each moment I had with Thomas and for the friendship we shared. He was kind and loving and so passionate about life, especially the little things. Sending so much love to the whole family, all of Brookfield is here with and for you.

I didn’t know Thomas too well other than seeing him in the hallways at BHS, I was in the grade above him. I know he was a natural in swimming, and liked by all of his peers.
