Dear family, You were SO loved by your Mother! She shared her love for all of you with us. My husband & I met Bettie at Walnut Hill, New Milford, in 2013 as she greeted us as newcomers and we sensed her love for us and her Lord immediately! She made a delicious lasagna for us following my heart surgery(Ruth) and we spent many hours together at Panera after church. She felt like family to us! I will always remember her story about the housefire you all miraculously escaped and she gave the glory to God! She also loved treating us to the French bakery. Such a loving and generous friend we were sad to leave when we moved back to IL in 2016. We won’t ever forget Bettie! May God be near as you celebrate the life of God’s loving servant, Bettie Maclay. Psalm 116:15 With many fond memories, love, prayers and sincerest sympathy, James & Ruth Lowe, Normal, Illinois.

To the children and grandchildren of Bettie Mackey,
We knew Bettie many years ago while we attended the Baptist Church of Danbury with Don and Bettie. She was a wonderful person, a brilliant conversationalist, and a fun person to be around. We thoroughly enjoyed our friendship and rejoice that she is now in the presence of the Lord she loved. May God comfort all of you at this time. Sincerely, Tim and Joann (Bradshaw) Hoganson
